In addition to postpaid Internet access, FSM Telecom provides Internet dialup access on prepaid basis. The following conditions apply for prepaid Internet access:
Prepaid Internet is for general Internet access within the Federated States of Micronesia. Internet access on a prepaid basis is charged on a usage sensitive basis.
Postpaid dial-up Internet account customers may migrate to prepaid Internet but not the reverse. FSM Telecom reserves the right to migrate delinquent postpaid Internet account to prepaid Internet accounts.
Customers using prepaid dialup internet will be charged as follows:
- Prepaid Internet access: $0.08/ Mb (megabyte) of data received and $0.08/Mb of data transferred. Customers will use FSM Telcards' serial and scratch-off number as username and password to gain Internet access. The balance on the prepaid card will be debited according to megabyte usage for both transmit and receive data (rounded to the nearest Mb) per each Internet session.
- Prepaid Email Account: $4.95 per email account per month. There is no monthly allocation of megabyte. The email account is valid for the number of months the customer initially signs up on and may be extended with additional prepaid card transfer.
Customers have the flexibility to define the duration of the email account (in monthly increment). At the expiration of the email account, the customer has 90 days to revalidate the account, otherwise, the account is deleted and all messages purged. A user can utilize existing prepaid cards for new prepaid Internet service.
