Long distance telephone calls are charged for the duration of connect time. Charging does not start until the called party answers or until an answering machine, fax machine, computer modem, or other electronic device "answers" the call. Our telephone system cannot discern the difference between these devices nor identify the called person. If a fax machine or modem "answers" the call, a certain amount of time is initially spent establishing a connection. This time is included in your charges. Click here for international rates.
