It is with great sadness to announce that John D. Sohl, former Chief Executive Officer and President of FSM Telecommunications Corporation, has passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at his home in Nankewi Sokehs.

Kolonia, Pohnpei - On Thursday, November 26, 2020, FSM Telecom donated buckets filled with basic toiletries such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo, towels and other necessities as well as mats to the Pohnpei State Government. FSMTC answered a request seeking support for a Christmas drive to raise donations for patients at the Pohnpei State Hospital, inmates at the State Jail and disabled people in need.

On Monday November 2, 2020, FSMTC launched 4G service in Yap. There is one 4G coverage area so far which is in Madada, Weloy. 
In order to access 4G connection, a customer will need to be in a 4G coverage area, have an FSMTC USIM-card, and a device that supports 700 MHz frequency band.

On October 13, 2020 the FSMTC Team in Chuuk launched a new cell site in Polowat. Polowat residents are now able to enjoy cell and data services.
 

FSM Telecommunications Corporation (FSMTC) announced on September 22, 2020, that Athena Hainrick is the new Vice President of Administration, Marketing and Customer Care Department. “This is a major milestone for the corporation as Mrs. Hainrick is the first woman to hold an executive managerial position at FSMTC,” stated President/CEO Fredy Perman.
Athena joined the corporation on November 1987 as a Service Order Coordinator and eventually became the Chief Operator in 2009. She held this position for 11 years and helped with the successful implementation of a Call Center.
